Large twins among five Bishop Canevin players selected to hockey all-star game

Senior twin brothers Patrick Large and Austin Large were two of five Bishop Canevin players selected to the Class AA Southwest Conference All-Star team.

Fellow Crusaders Matt Bilski, Brennen Adams and Nikita Meskin were also selected to play in the Feb. 10 game at RMU Island Sports Center.

Patrick Large leads the Crusaders with 28 points (15 goals, 13 assists), while Austin Large is second on the team with 20 points (nine goals, 11 assists). Both are tied for the team lead with three game-winning goals to help Bishop Canevin to a 9-1-2 record.

Bilski and Adams are both defenseman for the second-stingiest team in Class AA. Adams has also contributed seven points (two goals, five assists), while Bilski has six points, all on assists.

Meskin is 6-1-1 in net this season with a 2.10 goals-against average and .907 save percentage. Of goaltenders that have played at least five games, Meskin is second in goals-against average and save percentage in Class AA.
