Football: Bethel Park has conference title in sight

Written by Brad Everett on .

One win.

That's all that's separating Bethel Park from its first conference title since 2009.

Bethel Park doesn't have an outstanding overall record -- the Black Hawks are 4-3 -- but its 4-0 mark in the Class 5A Section Southeastern Conference has it sitting in first place. If the Black Hawks win their final two conference games, they'll earn the outright championship. If they win just one, they'll earn of share of the championship.

Getting one or two wins won't be a walk in the park, but what Bethel Park has on its side is that both games are at home. Bethel Park hosts Altoona (2-6, 1-4) this week before hosting second-place Mt. Lebanon (5-3, 4-1) in the regular-season finale.
