BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Waynesburg University baseball team traveled to Geneva on Friday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) doubleheader. The Yellow Jackets picked up the sweep against the Golden Tornadoes.
Waynesburg (11-16, 5-7) never trailed on the day against Geneva (8-20, 2-12). The Jackets took game one 9-2, before scoring a 7-3 triumph in game two.
In game two, freshman Mason Miller earned his first collegiate win on the mound after giving up two runs, both of which were earned, on six hits and two walks.
Miller, a Bethel Park graduate, piled up seven strikeouts over five innings.
