Beaver's Olivia Neeley was one of the top hurdlers in WPIAL Class 2A her sophomore and juniors seasons.
Neeley is off to a strong start in her senior season.
No WPIAL 2A athlete has run the 300-meter hurdles as fast as Neeley this spring. She ran a 47.1 in a meet last week. Oakland Catholic's Jayla Ellis (46.8) is the only WPIAL runner who has ran a faster time this season. Neeley has also ran the second-fastest time in WPIAL 2A in the 100 hurdles (16.1).
As a junior, Neeley finished third in the 300 hurdles and fifth in the 100 hurdles at the WPIAL championships. She was eighth in the 300 hurdles her sophomore season. She teamed up with her sister, Ruthe, that year to capture the gold medal in the 1,600 relay.
