After Beaver beat Blackhawk, 6-5, on Nov. 21 to over the .500 mark at 3-2, the Bobcats lost back-to-back contests to OLSH and Harbor Creek.
But behind the play of Luke Cahill and Robbie Halvin, Beaver got back to .500 Monday with a 5-1 win against John Marshall.
Cahill scored a hat trick as Beaver jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two periods. Cahill has six goals and two assists in seven games this season.
And Halvin made the lead stand up, stopping 41 of 42 shots to improve to 2-1 on the season. It was the second consecutive win for Halvin, who stopped 46 of 51 shots in the victory against Blackhawk.
Beaver’s next game is on the road Friday against Wheeling Central at 6:30 p.m.
