Hockey: Baldwin starts strong

Written by Ryan Riordan on .

While its just three games into its season, Baldwin looks like it will be an Open Class contender come March.

The Highlanders are 3-0 with a plus-18 scoring margin.

Kenny Dee is leading the way with seven goals so far this season, but Baldwin has gotten contributions throughout its lineup. Dee, Anthony Alaimo, Dakota Becker, Mark O’Hanlon, Tyler Rush and Max Milan all have at least five points and 10 Highlanders have scored a goal in three games.

In goal, Matt Yauch is 3-0, stopping 53 of 60 shots.

Baldwin’s next game is tonight against Hempfield at Kirk S. Nevin Arena. The Highlanders beat the Spartans, 4-3, last Thursday.
