Boys Cross Country: 2016 South Season Recap

Only two points separated Canon-McMillan (fifth place) and Mt. Lebanon (sixth place) in WPIAL Class 3A competition.

Freshman Patrick Anderson and sophomore Peter Costentino finished in 27th and 28th place, respectively, in favor of the Blue Devils.

Canon-McMillan had two runners finish in the top 40. Junior Damon Gall and senior Jonas Wudkwych finished in 35th and 39th place, respectively.

Baldwin's Casey Conboy grabbed sixth place. The senior went on to finish 22nd at the PIAA meet.

In Class 2A, South Fayette finished in third place in the WPIAL and PIAA meets. Senior Aaron Pfeil finished in third place at WPIALs. Junior Sam Snodgrass also finished in the top 10, crossing the line in fifth place.

The pair took second and third at the state meet, respectively. Junior Silas Mays finished in 30th place at WPIALs and 37th at PIAAs.

South Park's Zack Skrabski took 10th place at the WPIAL meet before taking 58th place at PIAAs.

Serra Catholic finished 11th in WPIAL Class 1A competition. Senior Charles Nilson led the rally with a 39th-place finish. Sophomores Lukas Dunaway and Tyler Lemak finished in 49th and 64th place, respectively.

Individually, Brentwood's Aiden Barker finished in 19th place. The sophomore went on to finish in 140th place at the PIAA meet.

Sophomore Matt Clark represented Chartiers Houston at WPIALs with a 40th-place finish. Meanwhile, junior Zack Southern finished in 58th place.
