There were games played before it and regardless of the outcome there will be games played after it, but Tuesday night, the fate of Class AA Section 1 hinges on the outcome of the Seton-LaSalle-Keystone Oaks showdown at 3:30 p.m. at Keystone Oaks.
The Rebels (9-0, 8-0) and Eagles (8-1, 8-1) have separated themselves from the pack in Section 1 ahead of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (5-4, 4-4) and Carlynton (6-6, 4-5).
Tuesday’s game is the section finale for Keystone Oaks while Seton-LaSalle still has a meeting on Wednesday against OLSH. A win on Tuesday by Seton-LaSalle will clinch an outright section title while a win by Keystone Oaks would guarantee the Eagles at least a shared section title.
Earlier this season the Rebels edged the Eagles 3-2. Keystone Oaks was one of only two section rivals that Seton-LaSalle was not able to activate the mercy rule against.
