Boys Cross Country: 2016 North Season Recap

Written by Brittany Goncar on .

The Seneca Valley cross country team had a noteworthy year as it beat North Allegheny, the toughest competition in Class 3A, not once, not twice, but three times to end the season.

The Raiders beat the Tigers in the section meet before claiming the WPIAL title, knocking North Allegheny off the podium for the first time in 11 years. They also beat the Tigers at PIAAs, but took fourth place overall.

Sophomore Sam Owori led the Raiders at the WPIAL meet taking fourth place, while senior Trey Razanauskas was fifth and sophomore Seth Ketler took seventh.

Owori was the only Raider to finish in the top 20 at PIAAs in 19th place.
