Basketball: Schenley grad Kane to play in Israel

Written by Brad Everett on .

A week ago, DeAndre Kane was in Baltimore teaming up with a few old friends to help their team win $2 million.

Next stop for Kane: Israel.

Kane, a 2008 Schenley graduate, recently signed with Maccabi Fox Tel-Aviv. The team competes in the Israeli Premier League and internationally in the EuroLeague.

This will be the second time Kane has played in Israel. He played with Hapoel Eilat during the 2015-16 season. Last season, Kane played for teams in Spain and Russia. He has also played in Germany and Belgium.

Kane and former Schenley teammates D.J. Kennedy and DeJuan Blair helped Overseas Elite win the championship of The Basketball Tournament last week. Overseas Elite took home the winner-take-all prize of $2 million. Kennedy and Blair have not yet signed with teams for this upcoming season.
