City League Baseball 2013

This week, we’re looking ahead to spring by giving you a rundown on each City League Sport. Today, we’re featuring baseball.

For all City League Spring sports, practice began March 4.

Allderdice, Brashear, and Carrick will all play as part of the WPIAL. Allderdice will play as part of Section 4-AAAA, Brashear will be in Section 5-AAAA, and

Carrick will be in Section 4-AAA. WPIAL baseball’s first play date is March 22, 2013. WPIAL finals are scheduled (weather permitting) for May 29, 2013.

For Obama Academy, Perry, and Westinghouse, City League baseball will continue. Games will happen every Monday and Wednesday (weather permitting) between April 8 and May 6.

In both City and WPIAL cases, the district deadline is June 1. The state baseball championship tournament is slated to begin June 3.
