Track: Allderdice's Swaby aiming for big season

Written by Brad Everett on .

Noah Swaby became a national champion last summer, so it goes without saying there is a lot expected of the Allderdice senior this spring.

Swaby has had an excellent career at Allderdice. As a junior, Swaby put together an impressive performance at the City League championships. Swaby won titles in the 110-meter hurdles and triple jump. He also finished second in the long jump and third in the high jump. A year earlier, Swaby won titles in the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles.

Last summer, Swaby made a splash on the national level, winning the decathlon in his age group at the USATF Junior Olympics in Sacramento.

One thing that has alluded Swaby is success at the PIAA championships. He failed to make it out of preliminaries at last year's meet.
