It was the quality of hits not the quantity in the non-section game Monday between Shaler and Moon.

The Tigers outhit the Titans 12-7, but Shaler made theirs count in a 9-8 win.

The Titans (7-3) jumped to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning. The Titans continued to tack on with two in the fourth and three in the sixth to take a 9-3 lead.

Moon (5-3) rallied for five runs in the bottom of the sixth to pull within one, but couldn't get the tying run to cross the plate.
