Baseball: Two WPIAL players pick Seton Hill

Written by Brad Everett on .

On Tuesday, a Shaler baseball player committed to play baseball at Seton Hill.

A day later, one from Hempfield did the same.

It's was a nice two-day recruiting run for Seton Hill, which landed a pair of WPIAL senior standouts. Shaler's Christian Seelhorst and Hempfield's Isaiah DiAndreth both tweeted that they verbally committed to play baseball for the Griffins.

Seelhorst and DiAndreth both had excellent junior seasons and helped their teams reach the WPIAL Class 6A playoffs. Seelhorst, a pitcher, went 4-3 with 45 strikeouts during the regular season. DiAndreth, a shortstop, was one of Hempfield's top hitters and was named all-section. DiAndreth's twin brother, Nick, is also a starter for the Spartans.
