"Pine-Richland avenged one regular-season loss to make it into the WPIAL Class 3A girls lacrosse semifinals.
To play in the championship game for the first time in school history, the Rams will need to do it one more time. And they'll have to do it against the defending WPIAL champions.
On Monday, No. 3 Pine-Richland will take on second-seeded Mt. Lebanon in the semifinals, which will be a rematch of an April 19 meeting in which the Blue Devils pulled out a 12-10 victory. This comes on the heels of the Rams coming from behind in a 10-8 victory against Peters Township, a team that it lost to, 15-12, April 7.
"We've been working well all season and the girls are prepared. We're further along to be able to adjust to anything that we get thrown at us," Pine-Richland coach Brittany Adams said. "Peters is a great team that beat us in the regular season and, to face them again, and have the outcome in our favor, that's for the better.""
