Boys Basketball: Connellsville star goes from being a Falcon to a Fighting Falcon

Written by Drew Karpen on .

Junior Seth Younkin enjoys being a Connellsville Falcon. Through his first three years, Younkin has performed at an elite level as a member of the Falcon family. On May 3rd, Younkin announced that he is ready to stay a Falcon - a Fighting Falcon of Fairmont State University.

The Fighting Falcons are a Division II program competing in the Mountain East Conference. Fairmont State advanced to the National Championship game this past year.

The 6-foot-4 junior is a three-year letterman at Connellsville. As a sophomore, he was named as a second-team all-section. Younkin picked up his performance in his junior season, just missing out on averaging a double-double. He led Connellsville with 17.9 points per game and 9.9 rebounds per game. He made first-team all-section and all-county.

Younkin also plays on the Bridge City Basketball AAU team, which has opened up many opportunities to him, including Fairmont State.
