"One of the top basketball players in the WPIAL has decided to play at Robert Morris.

Elijah Minnie, a 6-foot-8 senior forward who helped Lincoln Park win WPIAL and PIAA Class A championships this season, decided Sunday he will attend Robert Morris.

Minnie was a first-team all-state selection and was a versatile performer for the Leopards. He averaged 15.7 points, 12.3 rebounds, 5.0 blocks and 3.0 steals. He also had 21 3-pointers, shot 80 percent (83 of 104) from the field and scored more than 1,000 points for his career. He attended Monessen as a freshman, Summit Academy as a sophomore and Lincoln Park the past two years.

Some other Division I colleges showed interest in Minnie. He still must qualify academically to be eligible as a freshman at Robert Morris."
