When Baldwin visited Franklin Regional April 7, the Highlanders crushed the Panthers in a 13-2 win.

In the rematch in Class AAAA Section 3 Thursday at Baldwin, the Highlanders' bats were just as hot, pounding out 11 runs.

But this time, the team's run prevention wasn't as strong.

Franklin Regional (7-5, 3-4) had 16 of the game's 28 hits and won a high-scoring affair, 15-11, to hand No. 1 Baldwin (9-1, 6-1) its first loss of the season.

It was the first time this season the Highlanders allowed more than six runs in a game. Baldwin has allowed three runs or fewer in seven of its 10 games.

Colin Jonov was the star for the Panthers, collecting four hits, one of which was a home run, scoring four runs and stealing three bases.
